Why am I unable to book equipment?
  • Most stock is available from 3 days max at once. If you require the equipment for a longer duration, please email the kitroom at kitroom@lsbu.ac.uk.
  • We require 24hrs notice for equipment bookings as well as for room bookings. SISO will not allow you to book rooms or equipment if this is not the case.
Why is my booking not approved?

Ensure that your risk assessment has an academic attached who can approve your risk assessment. Once they have signed it off, your booking will be approved. Please arrive to the kitroom for collection only after your risk assessment has been approved.

How to send the Risk Assessment to an Academic?
  • Click on the dropdown menu on the top left of your screen.
  • Click on ‘Risk Assessment’
  • Either start filling out a new risk assessment or click on ‘Open’ and choose a previously made risk assessment that you wish to send to an academic.
  • Section 8 ‘Approval’, allows you to choose which academic you would like to send this risk assessment to.
How to attach Risk Assessments to Equipment Bookings?

  • Click on ‘Open’ from the column on the left side of the screen and choose the risk assessment you wish to attach to a booking.
